Forklift Operator / Pick Packer – Steel Distribution

Location: Thornton Rate: $35 per hour + Super Work Type: Casual (Full-Time Hours)

About the Role

Join a leading name in the steel distribution industry. We are looking for a hardworking, reliable Forklift Operator / General Hand to join our fast-paced warehouse team. This is a casual position, but we are offering consistent full-time hours for the right person.

If you are physically fit, have a high attention to detail, and aren't afraid to get your hands dirty, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Forklift Operation: Safely loading/unloading trucks and moving steel stock throughout the center.

• Pick Packing: Accurately picking orders to ensure our customers get exactly what they need.

• Stock Maintenance: Washing steel sheets and ensuring product quality meets our standards.

• General Labouring: Assisting with yard tidying and heavy lifting as required.

What You’ll Need

• Valid Forklift Licence (LF): Proven experience operating a forklift in a busy environment.

• Physical Fitness: Ability to handle manual tasks and heavy lifting (steel is heavy!).

• Steel Experience (Preferred): Previous experience with steel products or heavy industrial materials is a major plus.

• Reliability: You show up on time, every day, ready to work.
